Dance with me tonight...
Or Sing, Act, Help out. Or all four.
The Tearaways Youth Theatre Group was founded in October 1997, with only 9 members. Today the group has well over 50 members in it, aged 11 to 19 years of age. The Tearaways is open to all young people from all backgrounds, gender, religious beliefs, able/disabled bodied to join.
The group meets every Monday evening to rehearse from 6:30pm to 8:30pm, and are members of the National Association of Youth Theatres.
There's no monthly/annual fees to pay at all, and the young people learn new skills, meet new friends, work as part of a team and achieve their potential in a non threatening environment.
Our Aims & Objectives...Aims and Objectives
Here's what we aim to provide...
To provide an enriching experience in the 3 main disciplines of Musical Theatre (Singing, Dancing and Acting) with the aim of the young people producing and performing musical productions for the Community. This helps to stimulate their creativity, confidence, enthusiasm and self esteem.
The Tearaways are delighted that some of their members have gained places at Performing Arts Colleges and Universities all over the country!
Don't Stop The Music
We never stop, we never give up. Coming up...

This ever popular Family Pantomime is brought to life in a colouful production by the young people. Along with "Heigh Ho and Whistle While You Work" the 2 hour show includes 14 other songs and dances for all the family to enjoy.

Glad You Came
You join Tearaways, you have fun. Simple as that.

The Tearaways group is open to anyone between the ages of 11 to 19 years of age, regardless of previous experience, ability or personality!
We strongly believe that every member leaves with 1,000% more experience than they began with - even if you don't go into performing. When you leave "it makes you much more confident in everything you do after performing in front of 200+ people!" - as said by one ex-member.
"I want to join! What do I do?"Evacuate The Dancefloor!
